Up to 2030- Why collective action matters

"The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development pledges to leave no one behind, envisaging “a socially inclusive world in which the needs of the most vulnerable are met” and endeavouring to reach the furthest behind first (UN 2015). This agenda recognise that climate, nature, poverty, inequalities, and exclusion are among the greatest challenges that need to be addressed in order to achieve inclusive and sustainable development. The Sustainability Development Report 2023 shows that only 18% of the SDGs are on track or have been achieved. Meanwhile, 15% of the goals are seeing a reversal in progress. Over two-thirds of the 17 goals are currently seeing “limited or no progress.” These are deeply distressing figures. However, the report emphasises: “Despite this alarming development, the SDGs are still achievable. None of their objectives are beyond our reach. The world is off track, but that is all the more reason to double down on the SDGs.” This requires collective accelerated action. The panel discussion titled ""Up to 2030: Why Collective Action Matters"" will unlock the importance of including everyone within the supply chain to leverage their power and build climate resilience, preserve resources and foster inclusiveness. The panel aims to provoke thoughtful discussions on the importance of collective action within the jewellery and watch industry. By examining the unique opportunities for collaboration and the impact of inclusive approaches, this C level conversation seeks to inspire actionable insights and strategies to foster measurable actions on the ground."
