CAPSOIL DOPPIOTEMPO

Since the beginning, Italo Fontana, U-BOAT's designer, has accustomed us to big wristwatches. Today, he has converted one of his latest and acclaimed creations, the Capsoil Doppiotempo, into a range of 55mm watches.

In 2009, Italo Fontana became popular worldwide as the designer of the biggest watch ever produced, the U-1942. Since then, he has never lost his passion for oversized watches, even if many U-BOATs are now average-sized.

Today, he has converted the recently launched Capsoil Doppiotempo into a 55mm watch. Born from the fusion of two successful models, the Capsoil and 1938 Doppiotempo, this model is a perfect synthesis of the dual-time function, given by the internal rotating bezel, and the "Oil Immersion" concept, with the case filled with an oil bath and a compensation bubble that is free to float on the dial.

Therefore, on one hand, it offers the opportunity to experience two different time zones simultaneously and, on the other, to amplify them with the three-dimensional effect of the view that goes beyond the limits of glass and dial.

Three new Capsoil Doppiotempo models, with the double crown on the left - one for time setting and the other for the second time zone - are available in both satin-finished 316L steel case and black DLC treatment. Six watches, in total, are characterized by a domed sapphire glass and indexes and numbers, and they are available in the same nuances as some of the smaller 45mm versions.

The three Capsoil Doppiotempo 55mm versions are with a black dial, of which one has indexes and numbers in beige color and the others are characterized by the indexes and numbers placed on the internal black bezel, respectively green in one model and red in the other.

On the back of the case, there is the innovative locking system (Locking Ring System) and the patented screw door for quick battery replacement. The watches are then completed by a black handmade leather strap and a spare vulcanized rubber strap with an embossed brand logo in the box.
