Floraison du Nénuphar automaton

Nature, one of the Maison’s beloved themes, comes to life with the Floraison du Nénuphar automaton, which presents a creative dreamlike interpretation of the passage of time. While the hours tick past on a rotating ring at the base of the object, an enchanting spectacle captivates the gaze to the sound of a sweet melody. A griotte marble base and a shattuckite bowl culminate in a water lily, which partly opens its lacquered petals to set free a precious butterfly adorned in turquoises and diamonds, its eyes suggested by two emeralds. Its plique-à-jour enamel wings flutter for a few moments before it returns to the heart of the corolla, which delicately closes to signal the end of the animation. Produced in partnership with the François Junod workshop, the animation is accompanied by a crystal-clear melody to complete this truly spellbinding moment.
