1816 CHRONOGRAPH – CHAMPAGNE EDITION
1816 is one of the key dates in watchmaking history. It was the year in which Louis Moinet, the great watchmaker, completed the world's first chronograph.
To celebrate the 210th anniversary of this invention, Les Ateliers Louis Moinet unveils a new edition of the 1816 CHRONOGRAPH in a warm champagne colour.
This hue accentuates the dial’s complex construction and its different levels. It reappears on the middle links of the bracelet, underscoring their shape and structure.

The freedom to create
Louis Moinet pursues the rare freedom of following no beaten path.
Come with us to discover how this freedom nourishes Louis Moinet’s creative approach
Designed in Saint-Blaise, on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, and assembled in Les Breuleux in the Jura Mountains, each Louis Moinet timepiece is born from an inspired vision. Many different creative paths are explored while always keeping with the legacy of the great watchmaker and the exacting standards of haute horlogerie governing horological complications, métiers d'art, and extraordinary materials.
This freedom engenders a rich world of inspiration, where humanity’s great narratives are expressed alongside deeply personal stories.
This keynote address is an invitation to discover a selection of Louis Moinet creations, to understand the ideas that guided their conception, and to uncover the secrets they conceal.
It is an immersion into the heart of the freedom that shapes Louis Moinet’s creative world.
